These recipes were great!! The ingredients are largely cupboard staples, and they are all easy to make. The Mock Boursin Cheese rivals a local cheesery in a nearby historical village. There are recipes that I would have NEVER thought of (a fruit salad with spaghetti??? DELICIOUS!) and some old recipes of things I haven’t thought of in years (like eggs-in-a-hole… from Girl Scouts in the late 70′s). I recommend this for people who want to make things from scratch without all the “fluff” of some other cookbooks. Rating: 4 / 5

I love this cook book! I found several recipes that I thought were made up family concoctions. The “porcupines” recipe is great. It is like glumkes without the cabbage. Terrific, rib sticking old standbys that you never had the recipe to. Rating: 4 / 5
